“Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans”. Funny how the most beautiful things come from a change in plans. There were two shows planned to celebrate the music of the Beatles circa 1965 but due to circumstances beyond our control we had to cancel them. Then the idea: instead of doing two shows, why not do an album to celebrate a key Beatles album? Our friends at Grant Avenue Studio graciously donated studio time for the project with Amy King behind the console. We recorded the album in two days plus one quick afternoon session in December, mixed in my home studio and then currently are in the midst of quickly getting the record together for manufacture. Our friends at the Pearl Company are hosting this early show to celebrate the release of the record on Sunday February 7 (the 52nd anniversary of the Fabs landing in New York for the first time) and all proceeds raised will go towards Gracenotes and the Debbie Clause Recording Fund (which helps fund local music recording projects in the city). Our special guests for the evening will include:
Melissa Marchese
The Redhill Valleys
Jen Budd (grand prize winner of the 2015 Debbie Clause Recording Fund)
KIM KOREN and Frank Koren (Frank was a winner of the 2015 DCRF)

I am pleased to announce that FRANK KOREN and JOSH LAMOTHE have $1,000 to go towards their current musical project and JEN BUDD has received the Big Kahuna – $4,000 – to complete her project. You will hear more about this fund in the weeks and months to come. We will be reviewing and developing criteria for the 2016 Fund and hopefully integrate it with the HMA events next year (IF they decide to hold it around Debbie’s birthday again). Visit www.gracenoteshamilton.com in August for more information.
